Principals

The Proven team is managed by Ronan & Colin Hannan, Irish brothers with over 45 years of global experience developing award-winning real estate and resort projects. An accountant and an economist, they bring deep expertise and complementary styles, balancing creative vision and commercial results. They’ve developed international projects from Texas to Trinidad, Canada to Colorado, Bali to Belize.

Ronan Hannan

Ronan Hannan

Ronan’s international development career has been built upon a strong financial foundation. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC, before traveling the world for over two years, working in management positions for international corporations including Woolworths and RBC.

Leaving the corporate world behind, Ronan successfully built his own real estate investment business, before forming and managing an international property fund with over 240 investors. He oversaw the acquisition of several thousand acres of strategic land assets in international markets, and led the development of several mixed use projects in luxury destinations. 

He brings a wide range of professional experience in the analysis of all types of residential and resort development, mixing his depth of development experience with a strong focus on financial feasibility, structure, and strategy. 

Relied upon for his financial pragmatism and insight, he enjoys the early-stage challenges of structuring real estate development projects for optimal returns. He has visited over 65 countries globally, and lived between Ireland and New York for the last two decades, with an equal love for both sides of the Atlantic. He leads Proven’s advisory business.

Colin Hannan

Colin Hannan

With a deep understanding of international real estate development, built upon two decades of personal experience across the globe, Colin has successfully developed, launched, and repositioned residential and resort developments in Europe, North America, the Caribbean and Asia.

A respected marketing mind, Colin is known for utilizing luxury brand development and innovative marketing strategies to deliver successful sales results. He takes pride in maintaining a sharp focus on campaign objectives, and enjoys building specialized teams that bring passion and professionalism to each project. His academic background in Economics has given him a macro perspective on the entire spectrum of the sales and marketing process, and he excels in finding the right combination of inputs to optimize returns.

He has held executive and leadership roles across the spectrum of branded and boutique hotel and residential projects, living in many different countries throughout his career. He holds advisory and ownership roles in a variety of businesses, and has been featured in such international publications as The New York Times, Forbes, Fast Company and Architectural Digest. He leads Proven’s agency business.

James Wilson

James A. Wilson

  • James has more than 35 years of international experience in resort and property development. Through his roles as CEO of Omran, CEO of Nakheel and President of IFA Hotels amongst others, he has lead the development of some of the most prestigious and recognizable real estate and tourism destinations across the EMEA region, including the Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, Quinta Do Lago in Portugal, and the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town, South Africa.

Anuja Madar

Anuja Madar

  • With a Masters in journalism from NYU, Anuja brings extensive experience in luxury travel copywriting, including 8 years with Marriott. She has worked on a range of luxury hotel brands including Ritz Carlton, Ritz Reserve, Edition Hotels and Aman Resorts. She has written for a variety of international publications, and enjoys the challenge of exploring and defining a brand’s Tone of Voice from inception through to marketing delivery.

Jennifer Findlay

  • Jennifer is the founder of Core Essence, an International Wellness Design & Consulting Firm. She has worked with some of the world’s leading hospitality organizations, including Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Worldwide, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. A member of the Global Wellness Institute’s preferred consultants, Jennifer brings deep wellness expertise and insight to real estate and hospitality design and development

Dimitrios Karypidis

Dimitrios Karypidis

  • Dimitrios studied Economics, has a Diploma in IFRS, and is in the process of becoming a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA). He has proven experience in hospitality, working for eight years as management accountant for a private equity hospitality company. He is an advanced financial modeler with deep expertise in development finance as well as operational management.

Reka Borcz

Reka Borcz

  • Reka brings nearly 15 years of experience in the hotel industry, blending her marketing degree with a strong background in tourism to deliver customer-focused results. She has worked with international brands such as Accor Hotels and Corinthia Hotels, as well as smaller boutique hotels globally. In these roles, she managed all aspects of marketing. Over the past 3 years, Reka has applied her expertise to assist more than 10 real estate companies in enhancing their digital presence through a variety of innovative strategies.

Laura Merizalde

Laura Merizalde

  • Laura is a multidisciplinary designer and art director who specializes in travel and lifestyle brands. Born in Colombia, she moved to the US at a young age and holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts from Florida State and a Master's in Creative Direction from Barcelona’s ELISAVA, where she lived for two years. She has led brand development projects for a variety of international lifestyle brands.

Jennifer Martin

Jennifer Martin

  • Jennifer has worked right across the spectrum of social media management and marketing. After working with interior design and architecture firms in London and Dubai, she focused exclusively on the hospitality, real estate and travel industries. She covers all angles, from strategy, analytics and content development through to influencer marketing and ad promotions.

Sean Flint

Sean Flint

  • Sean studied Economics at The University of Manchester, before managing international SEO and content marketing campaigns for several blue chip companies. He subsequently led digital strategy for a wide variety of start-ups. He has deep expertise across the digital spectrum with a particular passion for SEO.

Joreld Dhamo

Joreld Dhamo

  • Joreld is an accomplished graphic designer and art director with a BA in Civil Engineering and over ten years of design experience working across a variety of industries. He has worked for a variety of clients including TEDx and the United Nations amongst others. His design focuses range from brand identity creation through to web design development.

Amila Omerika

Amila Omerika

  • Amila is a veteran marketer, storyteller, and project manager. She has an MBA with a Major in Economics, speaks 5 languages, and spent many years of her career bringing order and systems to projects with excellent problem-solving skills. She has managed people and projects in various industries for many years, with a focus on managing a cross-functional team of designers, developers, and copywriters to ensure the timely delivery of the project. Amila’s project management–related passions include frequent communication, Gantt charts, and automated reminder systems.

Julie Monserrate

Julie Monserrate

  • Julie is a vastly experienced brand strategist and copywriter, who is passionate about developing meaningful brands from scratch. She has worked across a wide spectrum of hospitality clients, from global conglomerates like Hilton Hotels to boutique startups like Hitch Hotels. Her focus is building brands that will resonate with their target audience, creating memories that last.

Ima Sultana Iqbal

Ima Sultana Iqbal

  • Ima is a goal-oriented market researcher and technical writer with 12 years of experience in sales and marketing. She holds an MBA with a major in Marketing and an MBS with a major in Management. As a data-driven market researcher, she has completed numerous projects related to international luxury real estate markets focusing on the North American, Asian, Oceanian, and European markets.
